Why I built Layer

Layer is a fragrance collection app, made by Max at North Common Studios in Ireland. It is currently in development, and you can join the waitlist to hear when it launches.

The story

My collection started with one bottle: Creed Aventus. It was the first fragrance that made me want to collect, and it opened the door to the community around fragrance: people sharing recommendations, debating favourites and showing off their shelves. The more bottles I added, the more I wanted a better way to keep track of them.

What Layer is for

Layer is for keeping a growing collection in order, remembering what you wore and when, deciding what suits the day, and sharing your shelf in a way that looks as good as the bottles do. It is built for collectors with a full shelf and for anyone with a few bottles who is not sure when to wear which.
